Brothers - Second Time Around

Back in 2002, I was commissioned to do a portrait of two young brothers.  It was a great project - gorgeous kids, wonderful client and a lot of fun to do.  Shortly before Christmas, I got the nod to do a second portrait of them. What a wonderful experience it was to have the opportunity to show all the changes they've gone through over the past six years.  They've certainly turned into quite the handsome gentlemen! Anyway, I wanted to share them with you, so here they are...

And in case you're interested, here are the reference photos I used...

If I'm really lucky, maybe I'll get to draw them again when they graduate from high school :-).

As the mother of these two wonderful boys I can honestly say that Carole has done an amazing job of recording our children at such tender times in their childhood. I commissioned the first portrait as an anniversary present to my husband, Michael, and the second portrait was commissioned this year as a Christmas present. Needless to say, I was apprehensive as so much time had passed in between portraits, but Carole did a phenomenal job and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Thank you, Kirsten. It was a pleasure to create a portrait of such handsome boys, and I'm delighted that you liked the results!
